Dear HP Technical Support,
I have a problem with my notebook HP Mini 210-1099EE Vivienne Tam Edition. The problem is that it could not complete the primary Hard Disk Self Test and it gave me a message saying " Replace Hard Disk-1720 S.M.A.R.T HARD Drive detects imminent failure". When I searched online for its spare part (HP 590819-001), I have found that some sellers sell the replacement part with 320GB hard drives capacities while the others sell it with bigger storage capacity, 1.5TG. I am wondering, now, whether buying a higher hard drive capacity would give me better performance?
I would very much appreciate your technical recommendation about my issue. Thanks.

Hi,
No, in this case bigger (capacity) does not mean better. Performance of a HDD is measured by its cache and its RPM. Bigger cache is better and larger RPM (spin faster) is better.
In your case, you can use HDD, hybrid HDD or even SSD depending on your budget. Anything from 320GB to 1TB is fine.
Regards.
