Hi.
I have an HP ENVY 17-3290nr 3D Edition laptop with product number A9P83UA and 1852 motherboard (U3E1). I use the Windows 10 Pro 64-bit operating system.
The problem is that after Windows 10 was upgraded to version 1709 (16299.98) and then the WiFi adapter started to fail. The system reports to me that there are no drivers installed for that device.
I have tried to update the driver automatically using the system options and it always says that Windows 10 has not found drivers for the device.
I downloaded from Intel's website the drivers WiFi_20.10.2_PROSet64_Win10 which include the drivers for Windows 10 64 bits but that didn't work.
The hardware identifiers of the device are:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_422B&SUBSYS_00008086&REV_1A
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_422B&SUBSYS_00008086
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_422B&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_422B&CC_0280
I would appreciate any help in resolving this problem.
Thanks in advance

Hi @AMRP,
Thank you for joining HP Forums.
I'll be glad to help you 🙂
As I understand, Wi-Fi does not work after an upgrade. Thank you for trying possible troubleshooting steps.
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Have you made any hardware changes?
Let's try these troubleshooting steps:
1. Press Windows+X to open the menu, and choose Device Manager on it.
2. In device manager, expand category “Network Adapter”.
3. Under this category, right click on your Wi-Fi driver and click on Uninstall.
4. You may be required to confirm the uninstallation. Check the box next to “Delete the driver software for this device” and click OK button.
5. Once completed, let's download the drivers from the link.
Note: Although driver is for Windows 8, it will work on Windows 10.
Keep me posted!

Hi @Flower_Bud
I appreciate your help, but the procedure has not solved the problem.
I did the following:
1. - Uninstall the Synaptics PS/2 Port ClickPad device. I also uninstalled the drivers for this device.
2. - I restarted the laptop because the uninstaller asked for it.
3. - I downloaded the software of the link you sent me.
4. - I installed the software SP59207 (Intel Bluetooth Driver).
5. - I restarted the laptop.
The stage is next:
1. - The SP59207 software installs drivers and applications for Intel Centrino Bluetooth but according to Device Manager this laptop uses a Bluetooth Broadcom 20702.
2.- Windows 10 Pro 64-bit again installed a driver for the Synaptics PS/2 Port ClickPad device.
3. - My WiFi module is Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN. (According to Intel's website, I downloaded the file WiFi_Win10_64_19.70.0 which contains the most up-to-date drivers for this device and support for WIndows 10)
The funny thing about the bug is that with the 1607 version of Windows 10 everything was working smoothly and that Windows 10 is supposed to be updated to improve the user experience.
I will appreciate any help in resolving this failure.

Hi @AMRP,
Thanks for trying possible steps. By mistake, I had asked you to uninstall Touchpad driver instead of Wireless drivers. Please follow below steps to reinstall Wi-Fi drivers:
Let's try these troubleshooting steps:
1. Press Windows + X to open the menu, and choose Device Manager on it.
2. In device manager, expand category “Network Adapter”.
3. Under this category, right click on your Wi-Fi driver and click on Uninstall.
4. You may be required to confirm the uninstallation. Check the box next to “Delete the driver software for this device” and click OK button.
Note: Do not restart your notebook.
5. Once completed, let's download the drivers from the link.
Note: Although driver is for Windows 8, it will work on Windows 10.
Keep me posted!

Hi @Flower_Bud
Once again I am very grateful for the help you have given me.
I could not perform the procedure as you indicated because the WiFi device is not detected by the system. However, I reinstalled the drivers that you indicated to me and also the original network drivers that are for the Windows 7 64-bit operating system.
When I restarted the laptop, the WiFi device was detected and installed and now it works but I noticed a curious thing and is that in the device manager both the WiFi adapter and the bluetooth are marked with a #2 at the end of the description.
Apparently there's something not fixed in the Windows 10 registry.
Either way, I'll be very grateful to anyone who can help solve the problem.

Hi @Barachiel
I appreciate the help you're giving me, but there must be a misunderstanding. The device that was not working properly for me is the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN, which is the WiFi adapter.
The link that you and @Flower_Bud have sent me is the driver link for the Intel Bluetooth but my laptop has a Bluetooth Broadcom 20702 adapter.
After running the procedure that told me @Flower_Bud the laptop recognized the WiFi adapter again but in the device manager shows it with a #2 behind the description and I don't know why this is so.
I will appreciate any help in solving the problem.
Thank you.
