Hello.

This very much sounds like your laptop keyboard has a hardware problem.

Unless the keys have debris under the key caps you can only have it fixed by having the keyboard replaced.

I recommend taking your laptop to your local HP authorized service partner to get an estimate for cost of repair.

try an external keyboard first.

HP authorize placed would be very expensive.  Changing a keyboard should not be that difficult.  Check out YouTube for your model and chances are someone has done it.

bro I literally have the same problem and I even I have an HP omen laptop. It's DC 1052nr. I literally have the same f****** problem and I don't know why. Why is that happening? It's a million person, not a hardware issue. I'm pretty sure it's a software issue. There should be a fix for it. Maybe we should raise a ticket about it

No, it isn't a hardware to you. It's it is a software issue even I have the same laptop. I'm having the same issues

I have a similar problem.  My caps lock, and the H, J, K, L, ;, and ' keys don't work.

Started as an intermittent problem,  now they don't respond at all.

It can be many things, while it looks like a HW problem, it is simple to use an external keyboard (preferably wired) and test all the keys.

If may be something simple like the numeric key embedded in the regular keyboard, ie a stuck num lock.

For the ultimate test, use an external wired keyboard and book from a 'LIVE" linux USB key, that will eliminate a Windows setting.  This doesn't touch your hard drive, it just boots from the Linux USB key and then use the external keyboard FIRST, if that works, THEN try the built in keyboard, if Linux works with both ext/int keyboard -> Windows setting issue.
