Hi @huseyinbayir,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand It's disappointing to hear that you're experiencing issues with the battery performance of your HP Laptop 15-fd0xxx. Several factors could contribute to rapid battery consumption and dissatisfaction with battery life.

Here are some troubleshooting steps and tips you can try to improve the situation:

1.    Turn off the Unit.

2.    Disconnect the AC adapter.

3.    Remove any discs from the disc drive.

4.    Remove memory cards from the card reader slot.

5.    Disconnect all nonessential peripheral devices, such as printers, scanners, external hard drives, and USB flash drives.

6.    Disconnect the AC adapter press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds.

7.    Reconnect the AC adapter, and then turn on the computer.

Step 2

Turn off the unit and please press and hold the Windows key + letter B key and the power button together for 30 seconds after 30 seconds, 1st release the power button but keep holding the Windows key and B key for ten more seconds and then release these two keys If done correctly, you will see the display flashing once. Please attempt it thrice as this step and Restart the unit

Step3

The unit has to be turned off, Press Win+ V while holding these two keys then Press the Power button, continue to hold all three keys for 30 seconds and then release the Power button first and then release these two keys Please attempt it thrice  and then you may get a Pop-Up CMOS Check and it will restart the unit

Even if you don't get a Pop-up restart the unit manually after 3 attempts.

  • Check Power Settings: Ensure that your power settings are optimized for battery life. In Windows 11, you can access power settings by right-clicking on the battery icon in the system tray and selecting "Power & sleep settings." From there, you can adjust power plans and advanced power settings.
  • Update Drivers and Software: Make sure that your laptop's drivers and firmware are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause battery drain issues. You can check for updates through the HP Support Assistant or by visiting the HP website. Software and Drivers for HP Laptop 15-fd0xxx
  • Reduce Background Processes: Too many background processes and applications running can drain battery life. Close any unnecessary programs and applications running in the background.
  • Check for Malware: Malware or viruses can also affect battery life by consuming system resources. Run a full system scan using Windows Defender or a reputable antivirus program to check for any malicious software.
  • Calibrate the Battery: Sometimes, calibrating the battery can help improve its performance. To do this, fully charge the battery, then let it drain completely until the laptop shuts down. Finally, recharge the battery to full capacity.
  • Check Battery Health: Use HP Support Assistant to check the health of your laptop's battery. If the battery's health is degraded, you may need to replace the battery.
  • Adjust Display Brightness and Power Settings: Lowering the screen brightness and adjusting power settings can help conserve battery life.
  • Avoid Extreme Temperatures: High temperatures can degrade battery performance. Try to keep your laptop in a cool, well-ventilated environment.

HP mainstream or entry level 15" laptops usually only get around 2.5-3.5 hours of mobile use.

Are your expectations higher than that?

Upper tier laptops, such as the Spectre or Envy series laptops even the small ones get up to 9-11 hours of mobile use.

I have a Spectre 13t-ap069 laptop which I have used for years on flights from Europe to the US without worrying about running our of battery power.
