Im having problems getting external display to connect from my laptop to my docking station. Everything is working but it wont detect any external monitors when trying to find them. I should have a compatible USB-C thunderbolt outlet wich should be able to show display.

Your machine does NOT have Thunderbolt™ 3 nor Thunderbolt™ 4 port. Not all USB-C ports are not the same specially from HP, Dell and Lenovo. They don't supply one-size-fit all accessories very hard to say why but from my view please do not buy/use accessories from third party vendors for HP, Dell, Lenovo machines.
Regards.

Hello,
Thank you for looking over my issue. I might have made a an error when specifying my laptop. I have this model:
HP Pavilion Laptop 14-ec0426no
Wich have an USB-C port of this kind: 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10 Gbps signaling rate (USB power, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge). Should not this support video output?
Best regards, Joas

I tested on my HP USB-C G5 with few machines from HP, Dell and Lenovo which have sane 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10 Gbps signaling rate (USB power, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port and they worked.
In short : The USB-C port on your machine supports USB PD and Alt mode therefore it support video out.
Page 2 on its manual clearly says : it has USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (supports data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0, HP Sleep & Charge; DisplayPort™ 1.4 out up to 4096 × 2304 @ 60 Hz through adapter; HDMI 2.0 out up to 4096 × 2160 @ 60 Hz with HDCP 2.2 through adapter) port.
Regards.

I have that same dock and I use it with an HP Spectre 13-v series laptop and also with a Thinkpad Carbon X1. Both laptops have Thunderbolt ports. Which USB-C port on the dock are you using? Only the one in back with all the other ports will put out display. The one on the front is data and charge only. Also you may need 2 power supplies for the dock. I have a Lenovo 230W and a Lenovo 65w power supply with the proprietary yellow rectangular plug ins powering my dock and then power the laptop from the front USB-C port and also connect to the rear USB-C port. Some versions of the Gen 2 dock just use one 90w Lenovo power supply

Okay, and the video output works fine?
Yes i am aware that only the rear USB-C outlet on the docking station is for video output. I also have the power supply with the yellow part on and everything with the dock works except the video out function, i am starting to think the problem lies in the USB-C cable that was in the package. It also charges my computer with my USB-C outlet and everything like the keyboard, mouse and ethernet is connected when i tried with a normal USB-C cable but with the one that was included in the package is seems to be like it connects and disconnects all the time.

Yes I actually bought my dock used and it did not come with a cable so I bought a very high quality USB-C to USB-C cable and use that. I have no issue and run one 4K and one FHD off the dock with either of the laptops mentioned above. I have not gotten it to drive 2 x 4k monitors but am OK with the setup I have.
