I am running an hp 15-fd0023dx laptop. I am running ubuntu. I really like this plastic fantastic laptop and how upgradable it really is. DDR5 ram and m.2 drive easy to get at. The only thing that I really don't like is how the touch pad works. It works some of the time time. Its very intermittent. Its driving me crazy. I might try the old hard drive with windows 11 to see if it has the same problem.

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Community! 🎉
I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:
- Update your system to ensure all drivers are up to date.
- Reinstall or update touchpad drivers to fix any software-related issues.
- Adjust touchpad settings for sensitivity and behavior.
- Test with another operating system (like Windows) to see if the problem is specific to Ubuntu.
I’m pretty confident this will do the trick! But hey, if you run into any bumps along the way or need a little extra help, just give me a shout! I’ve got your back. 💪
