Probook 450 G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I would like to upgrade my 1366x769 anti-glare screen on a Probook 450 G1 to at least 1920x1080.

Is this possible -- are you aware of the existance of such spare parts?

Thank you!

Best regards,

Mihai

The Manual indicates that a FHD (1920 x 1080) screen was not offered which maybe means the screen cable and/or motherboard does not support a higher resolution than you have:

Manual

This is likely your panel:

For use in models with a webcam and without WWAN 724940-00

Its a 40 pin bottom right cable LED so a FHD might very likely work (30 pin likely would not) and there are lots of them available:

You can really only know 100% if it will work by trying it which seems a bit risky to me.

Have you tried the solution given?

Have you succeeded in replacing your display?

Does the notebook work properly with the new screen at the new resolution?

Haven't tried it. Not sure it's worth the risk.

I will be purchasing a screen and seeing if this upgrade will work. I will let you all know in a months time when the part arrives.

Thanks a lot! I really look forward to hearing about your success! Where did you order the part at?

I am purchasing this one:

It was the closest match to what is currently in the machine after a lot of searching. It is indeed a 40 pin bottom right config but they vary in design around the outside. I compared them to my own machine.

Did you ever try this?  Considering this upgrade myself.

Hi Brandon,

The screen I received was faulty or did not work with the laptop and it was another £110 pounds to get another so I left it. It would have been more than the value of the laptop.

I was able to get the screen up and running but it was fuzzy and did not natively go to the higher resolution and when I forced it it was just fuzzy grain.

I was not able to get a return on the screen either.

It was a failure unfortunately.

Hope this helps.

In theory it should work.
