I have bought and cloned on my 4TB m2 ssd my current 500Gb HDD and am trying to use it as the bootable drive and will use my HDD as a storage drive until I buy myself a 5TB HDD. But something is causing it to not boot up, I used DiskGenius to clone it. Any help is appreciated

If the HDD is still connected, remove it and the system will boot from the M.2 drive. you can then install the HDD back for data storage.
If the HDD is connected, it is assigned disk 0, as it is the original boot drive, and the M.2 drive has disk 1. If both drives are bootable, the system will most likely boot from disk 0. So you need to remove the HDD temporarily.
