HP Probook 250 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a G4 250 ProBook and I only had 4GB of RAM and I bought a 8GB (1600MHz) Kingston memory intending to upgrade it.

The problem is, the notebook won't boot up with the new 8GB RAM and if I use both the old and new memory sticks it boots up but it only recognizes the old memory stick, the one of 4GB. Anyone has any idea what the issue might be?

Check the RAM type is ddr4 .

Make sure you plug it correctly. Try to check Both new RAM s in other PC.

No, it's DDR3 as recommended per the technical guide on the HP website.
