Pavilion G6 2302ax
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey I recently purchased an AMD core A10-4600M for my laptop already running at A4-4300M. I have verified the manual that this CPU can be upgraded to A10 easily. But while installing it i faced these problems.

1. Laptop turns on but shut down instantly without displaying anything

2.Core is heated to 45℃ while trying to turn on.

3. Bios version is updated to latest.

I cannot find what s the problem here!! Some people posted that this G6 can support A10-5650M which is not in the manual. Whats the solution here please help.

Specs say that model originally shipped with an A8-4500M processor so I am a bit confused. However, according to the Service Manual:

A10-4600M should be a drop in replacement and should work if the A4-4300M works. What is the source of the processor? Some Experts here say you must use a processor with an HP Part Number. I do not necessarily endorse that thought but obviously if the A4 works, the motherboard is OK and if the A10 has issues, itmight just be the A10 APU that is the problem.
