Hi,
The Maintenance and Service Guide is very intresting to read. From page #73 it says each CPU uses a different System board but from page 85 it shows people how to replace a CPU with different part (ie CPU).
Regards.

That's because some motherboards have a socketed processor and some are soldered to the board. It is unfortunately necessary to stop and read the manual (which can be as clear as mud), figure out the OP's model, whether the processor is socketed or soldered before you just say here is the list of processors, plug any of them in and you are good to go. If the description of the motherboard includes a processor the CPU is soldered. If it only mentions a chipset but no processor, the processor is socketed. Then you have to figure out if the processor is compatible with the chipset. Many model series spanned different processor generations and some motherboard work with one but not the other. Some have different motherboards for Quads and Duals.

@banhien @huffer
Hello again,
In @huffer 's reply earlier, he said that I could get the "For use only on computer models equipped with the Intel HM86 Express chipset, a graphics subsystem with 1 GB of discrete memory, and the Windows 8.1 Standard operating system 749985-501" motherboard. I saw in the manual a different motherboard that was the same thing except with 2 GB of discrete memory ("For use only on computer models equipped with the Intel HM86 chipset, a graphics subsystem with 2 GB of discrete memory, and the Windows 8 Standard operating system"); I would probably get that one.
Also in relation to that motherboard, after looking into the Intel HM86 Express chipset (http://ark.intel.com/products/75531#@compatibility), I found that the Intel Core i7-4940MX Extreme Edition quad-core processor (which can turbo up to 4 GHz) (http://ark.intel.com/products/78940/Intel-Core-i7-4940MX-Processor-Extreme-Edition-8M-Cache-up-to-4_...) is compatible.
The problem with this chip is that it uses more power than the system is currently configured for. Currently, the i3-3110m that is in the machine uses 35W of power; the i7-4940MX Extreme Edition uses 57W of power.
Is there any way I can update other components so the PC is compatible with this processor (such as a new power adapter, battery, etc.)? If so, could you please tell me which components I would need to upgrade? Is that processor even compatible with the motherboard, and if not, could I put another motherboard in the PC that is compatible?
Thanks very much for all your time.
