After a bios update, the system serial numbers (Product Name and Serial, Product Number, System Board CT) were deleted in the bios information. It is not possible to start system recovery without this Serial Numbers. I can't start my laptop and recover my original operative system with DVD's recovery tools.
When I turn on my notebook I can see the following message:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Product Information not valid
"The following product information programmed into the system board is missing or invalid.
System Board (00A) - Product Name
System Board (00A) - Product Serial Number
System Board (00A) - Product Number
System Board (00A) - System Board CT Number"
ENTER - Continue Startup

Please, I need help, thank you.

The Notebook needs to be sent for serviced where the BIOS can be tattooed with the SN and PN.

The solution provided from Hp is to download a tool and rewrite those serial numbers:
HP BIOS Configuration Utility (BCU)
Procedure:
I download the tool from the Hewlett-Packard website that allows me to configure the Bios by entering the serial numbers and follow the steps, but when I run I get an error because the motherboard is in LOCK mode.
I wish you'd make it easy for me to put the board into UNLOCK mode so I could record my serial numbers. Thanks a lot.
