HP ENVY 15t-j000 Quad Edition CTO Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've recently replaced the system board and, on start up, I get the following message:

Product information not valid

The following product information programmed into the system board is missing or invalid

System Board (00A) - Product Name

System Board (00A) - Product Serial Number

System Board (00A) - Product Number

How can I enter this information?

Thanks.

I've been trying to do that, but when I enter my laptop serial and product number, I only get two option in the contact page, visit the HP Support Community or find the nearest service center. I'm not sure if this is the reason, but my laptop is about 5 years old and HP is probably no longer providing support. For this reason I'll think twice before buying another HP product.

I've been researching online and I found this HP DMI tookit that allows me to enter the information missing in the new system board. The whole process goes well, but when I restart the laptop, I get the same message as if the missing data had not saved.

Hi

The parlance is...

The board needs tattooing.

Only HP do that AFAIK.  And they may charge.

When you buy a replacement Main Board from HP they SHOULD do it automatically for you.

If they haven't then ask for it to be done FOC.

I bought the new board off market, not from HP. I was able to solve the problem though, I realized that the tool that I was using was from 2010, I got a 2014 version and it worked.

Thanks for the reply.
