HP ENVY Notebook 15-as032nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I purchased the HP ENVY Notebook 15-as032nr with only 512gb SSD. I want to add additional 1tb hard drive. Can it be done?

Yeah you have the 512 gig PCI-e NVME M.2 drive (lucky dog) and that goes in one slot and then there is also an open slot for a standard 2.5 inch hard drive or SATA SSD. See pages 30-33 of the Manual here:

Service Manual

It is probable that your laptop does not contain the hard drive mounting kit and cable shown on page 30-31 and this note is in the Manual:

The hard drive spare part kit does not include the hard drive rubber bracket or hard drive cable. The hard drive rubber bracket is available using spare part number 857797-001. The hard drive cable is available using spare part number 857806-001

An extra $66 for the caddy and cable seems a bit much but I could not find them for sale anywhere other than HP Store.

This is not an easy upgrade; post back if you need more help.
