Hi,
I am planning to purchase laptop of Model 14S-cr1005tu. One of the selection criteria was to get NVMe M.2 SSD PCIe which fits in this model as per specification provided on HP portal.
When i visited to HP store to check this model with all specs listed, i came to know that SSD installed in laptop was of below model
KBG30ZMV256 TOSHIBA
The details of this model on TOSHIBA website ( Link: https://business.toshiba-memory.com/en-apac/product/storage-products/client-ssd.html) showing no data for above model. check below details
x2 NVMe™
1.2.1
BiCS FLASH™ TLC
512/256/128 GB - M.2 1620-S2/S3(512GB product)
Single Package KBG3AZPZ**** SED KBG30ZMS**** - M.2 2230-S2
/S3(512GB product)
Single-sided KBG3AZMS**** SED
1. Can anyone confirm about status of NVMe PCI SSD for provided model ( KBG30ZMV256) ?
2. Also i would like to know that if this SSD model(KBG30ZMV256 )is not available on TOSHIBA portal then how user can avail warranty under any fault occurrence ?
3. In future if I would like to upgrade this SSD to Samsung 970 EVO Plus Series - 500GB ( link: https://www.amazon.in/Samsung-970-EVO-Plus-MZ-V7S500B/dp/B07M7Q21N7/ref=sr_1_12?keywords=nvme+ssd&qi... ),
will it work on this HP laptop model ( 14S-cr1005tu.)?
Thanks in advance.

- Normally HP uses supply from few vensors (Samsung, Toshiba, SanDisk ...) therefore a series can be one of them, very hard to say.
- All hardware warranty is covered by HP for 1 year (or more with Care Pack).
- It is a new machine, talking upgrade now is guessing: You, it would work with Samsung 970 series, but why only 500GB ? You will fill it up very soon. SSD's (M.2 and 2.5") are very cheap now.
Regards.

Its really good to get timely revert for user queries.
Thanks Banhien for prompt revert really doing good job and number of thumbs proves it.
Coming back to resolution given to 3 queries,
1. I am surprised to see "Very Hard to Say" answer (specially from expert) for simple SSD model (KBG30ZMV256G) information used by HP in 14s-cr1005tu. Query is still open @HP...
2. Please check below link where its clearly mentioned "1 year Limited parts warranty and labour". So are u still confirming All parts (including this TOSHIBA SSD) of HP are under 1 year warranty for 14s-cr1005tu?
3. Currently 256GB SSD fulfills my requirement and if in future i want to upgrade it with provided SAMSUNG 512GB NVMe M.2 PCI based SSD then it will be great. Also this quest was raised in context to first question where if TOSHIBA SSD is not NVMe then i can upgrade it to this one, provided it supports on 14s-cr1005tu motherboard.
Thanks & Regards,
