Is it bad for the computer if I were to change the setting from hibernate to do nothing when the battery is at a critical level? I currently have a defective battery and even when it is plugged in it still goes into hibernate. If I change the setting to do nothing can that corrupt the computer or hardware or system in any way since I'm assuming hibernating is a way of protecting it? Can having the computer be put in sleep mode protect it just as much as hibernate?

Is it bad for the computer to go into hibernate every day for less than a minute and then be turned on right away?
