HP 255 G4 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have 4.00 GB RAM, with 2.99 GB usable, on my HP 255 G4 (the one I'm making 64 bit). When I upgrade it to x64 I want to increase the usable RAM. So as I said after upgrading to x64 I'll increase usable RAM. So is it safe?

After changing from 32bit to 64bit, you can increase/add more RAM up to the limit and it is safe.  This series has

Two non-customer-accessible/upgradable memory module slots  (*)
DDR3L-1600 single channel support (DDR3L-1600 downgrade to DDR3L-1333)
DDR3L-1600 single channel support
Supports up to 8 GB of system RAM .

(*) That means do it yourself may void warranty.

Regards.
