HP ProBook 455 15.6 inch G10 Notebook PC (719F6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have a 2-month-old HP ProBook 455 15.6-inch G10 Notebook PC (AK9Q4AT).  I got it with preinstalled Win 11 Pro OS from the store. Since then, I am regularly updating all the drivers, BIOS, etc. so everything is updated.

I have a problem with Wi-Fi adapter that stops working by itself and then I need to click Troubleshoot internet connection and select Restart Wi-Fi Adapter to make it work again. It happens once or twice per day. I use only browser apps, email and some simple business apps which do not use much of resources or network on it.

I am not sure what to do here since I haven't had similar issues before on any other notebook. Anyone knows what could be the issue here? Thanks

Hi @Mark3811

Try using HPIA to update.

Hi, @Mark3811

There is a newer Wi-Fi driver available that is not on your notebook's support page for the RTL8852CE Wi-Fi adapter your notebook comes with that you may want to try:

 Version 6001.16.169.0

sp161604.exe

Thanks for the reply, HPIA did offer some updates but none of them were for the WI-FI adapter. I have updated the suggested driver/software and still have the same issue with my WI-FI adapter.

Thanks for the reply, I have tried to fix it now with manual update with driver Version 6001.16.169.0 you suggested. Will let you know how that goes.

You're very welcome.

If not, Realtek just released another updated driver:

Version 6001.16.170.0

sp162860.exe

One thing you can count on and that is that Realtek will always be releasing new drivers in an attempt to fix their problematic Wi-Fi cards.

You're welcome. If Paul's drivers don't work for you, go to Device Manager, then click on the Wi-Fi card, then in Advanced, find the 5Ghz band option and change IEEE 802.11a/n/ac/ax to IEEE 802.11a/n/ac.

This is because you may not have a router that is compatible with the 6Ghz band, and the Wi-Fi card may fail.
