Tengo una Laptop HP, y quería saber si es posible instalar un SSD SATA de 2.5", ya que hay un espacio vacío junto a la batería, la verdad es que carezco de conocimientos suficientes sobre el tema para llegar a una conclusión de si es posible o no, de alguna manera, y esperaba que alguien pudiera ayudarme.

The service manual (on page 2) indicates that your model only supports M.2 NVMe or SATA SSDs. No 2.5" hard drives are supported.

Your photo shows an empty connector to the right of a connector for the card reader, but it's for an optional fingerprint reader. A hard drive, if connected to the connector, won't be detected by the system, as it is strictly designed for a fingerprint reader (see pages 41-42 of the manual).
If you need more storage space, you may need to replace the current 256 GB M.2 NVMe SSD with one with a larger capacity, 512 GB, 1 TB or more.
