OMEN 15-ax025nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone! I have a problem with my laptop, an HP Omen with product number E8P02EA#ABH.

My laptop is in need of a battery replacement, as well as internal cleaning of the cooling systems and possible replacement of the fans. The laptop is still usable, but I only use it for very short amounts of time to not risk internal damage. I've gotten lucky over the years; even though I splurged on the HP Care Pack past the original warranty period for as long as I could, I've never had hardware problems until recently. Considering the hardware still performs admirably well for its age, I'd rather not replace the entire laptop yet if I can help it - also because I can't afford a new one that's on par with this model anyway.

I'm aware that my laptop is (far) outside of the warranty period, but times being what they are finances are kind of tight. I'd hereby like to request if anyone is able to give me a quote for, or at least indication of, what repairs via HP itself would cost me. To reiterate my requirements: battery replacement, internal cleaning, repair/replacement of fans. If still at all possible, I'd also like to upgrade the RAM depending on the costs involved; from 2x4GB to 2x8GB - but this is completely optional.

There's no way to contact HP about a quote or price indication without already starting a repair process, and since I don't know if I can even *afford* that, that might lead to a lot of wasted effort and expenses. I'm located the Netherlands, W-Europe.

Thank you for your time, any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

We are not able, or permitted, to provide any repair estimates or equipment prices.

For this information, you would need to contact an HP Repair or Service Center.

In addition, HP does not do repairs outside of warranty, so your better option would be to search for another repair facility.

Oof - not the answer I was hoping for, but at least it's a very clear one and I now know what to do next and that's definitely helpful. Thank you very much for the assistance, friend!
