Hello,
I would like to add a second M.2 NVMe drive to the HP ZBook Studio G5 and create a RAID 1 array. How can this be done from UEFI? Is there any other method to create a matrix?
What happens if one of the disks gets damaged after installation? Can I remove the damaged one normally and be able to work? If I get a new, working matrix, will it rebuild itself?

RAID-1 is redundancy. The drives will be automatically mirrored but only one will be the active boot disk. The other will stay in the background getting updated constantly. If the main boot disk has a problem you can theoretically remove it and put the backup drive in its place, turn off RAID and boot from the backup drive and go on working with your computer being exactly as it was with the previous setup. The matrix will rebuild itself if you then put a replacement, good drive in the backup slot and re-enable RAID operation.

Thank you very much for explaining the principle of operation in these models.
I'm now wondering how to create a RAID array from a practical perspective in BIOS/UEFI, because at first glance I don't see such an option there.
Is there any detailed instructions on this topic?
