I have an HP Notebook - 15-ac005na that I asked a question about the DVD drive last week. While I was looking around for replacements the 9.5mm replacement caddy that replaces the DVD drive popped up in a Google search and at the price, I bought one, and its a fairly good fit for my notebook.

 

The question I need answering is if I fit exactly the same hard drive into the replacement caddy, would the bios and Intel Chipset support RAID1?

Hi, Stuart:

 

The drive controller in your notebook is set to AHCI and the setting cannot be changed.

 

That model series would not support any RAID setup.
