Hello,
I recently bought a refurbished HP ProBook 640 G4.
HP specifications say it does offer RAID support here: HP ProBook 640 G4 Notebook PC Specifications | HP® Customer Support
Is this information correct? What model/upgrade/... do I need for this?
I tried BIOS and Intel RST options back and forth and suspect my BIOS is simply missing the needed Option ROM.
I am missing the "Configure Storage Controller for RAID" option within the BIOS.
I managed to see both M.2 NVMe SSD and SATA HDD in the Intel RST, but creating raid volume is greyed out.
BIOS Version Q83 Ver. 01.20.00 - 03/21/2022
Intel RST Product Version: 18.1.1026.0
Intel RST Driver Version: 18.36.1.1016
Best Regards,

Yes that is the correct link. As it says RAID (optional and requires a second hard drive), Does your machine have dual storage ?
Please also check the following manual

Regards.

Yes, my notebook has dual storage: M.2 NVMe SSD and SATA HDD.
(No, I don't want to use RAID on those two, but I'd like to have it working, before I install the intended drives.)
Thank you for the link. to the manual. However, it does not mention RAID at all.
Which brings me back to the question, if the specifications are correct?
