Yes, your notebook has an empty memory slot that supports an additional 8 GB memory chip.

 

This would be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook:

It currently has 8gb ram. Do I need to buy a 16 one? Or an extra 8? Do you know which model would work?
