Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?

My Probook has been delivered with 1 SODIMM module with 24GB.

In the HP specifications the Probook with 24GB is delivered with 2 modules with 12GB each.

There is no official configuration of 1x24GB

So the bandwith of the RAM Configuration is only 64bit (2x32) and not 128bit which

would be possible with 2 SODIMM modules.

The telephone support could not help me in this case. They said its also optional that there

can be a single 24GB module.

So what should i do in this case?

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook:

Maintenance and Service Guide HP ProBook 4 G1a 16 inch Notebook AI PC

Chapter 1 has the  memory upgrade information.

I would imagine that if the notebook can support a 24 GB memory chip in one slot, then it should be able to support another 24 GB memory chip in the second slot.

If you want to see if your notebook can support more than 2 x 16 GB of memory, you can run this command in Windows Powershell as administrator:

Get-CimInstance -ClassName Win32_PhysicalMemoryArray | Select-Object MaxCapacityEx, MemoryDevices

You're very welcome.

This is a peer to peer forum.

We do not work for or represent HP.

Since chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that 1 x 24 GB of memory is a supported memory configuration, as is 1 x 16 GB and 1 x 12 GB, I don't know what your chances are about getting HP to do anything about it are.

The parts list for the product number of the notebook you posted indicates that it is supposed to come with 1 x 24 GB of memory.

In any event, if you want to pursue the matter further (such as that is not the notebook memory configuration you ordered) you will have to contact HP customer service starting at the link below:

HP SpecificationsRAM.pngI did contact the phone support, and got told, that there also can be a single SODIMM with 24GB which is not posted in the official specification as u can see in the picture. I tried to mail the HP Support and didnt get a reply so far. So i am trying this way to get some support, or support adresses where i can complain about this issue. At least i can inform people that this notebook is sold in a configuration which does not enable the full performance of the Ryzen 7 250 APU

Thank u for the partsurfer link.

I will try to pursue this case because

advertised at the HP specifications

site is a single RAM option for 24GB

and this is 2x12GB. That is why i chose

this configuration to be sure i get the whole

memory bandwith enabled.

In my opinion this is misleading advertising
