i am shure the vengance have Dualrank 2R8.. i have ordered the Timetec rams with 2x16GB 1R8 and 2x16GB 2R8 single & dual channel,, the interesting thing is the dualchannel are NOT working, if i take a 16GB dual Channel in the right slot and put a 8GB single channel in the other slot, it will akzept both ram, if i take the both 1r8 with 16GB (32GB) only one is working. if i put the 2R8 16GB (32GB) the same, not working. if i put 1x single 16GB and 1x double also not working, only the dualchannel 1x 16gb and 1x single channel 8gb --- i am really confused.. i hope there will be a update from hp for the BIOS, aktualy i have f.32

Please don't use the word channel for RAM, because It's hard for me to follow what you're saying. Dual-channel is when two identical capacity RAM chips are installed 16GB+16GB. Rank is the word you want, has to do with how the chips are placed on the modules. What about a single 1Rx8 or 2Rx8 16GB installed? Just one.
OK. I read your corrected post again. The 1Rx8 Timetecs will not work. The 2Rx8 16GB modules will work but only with the 8GB original RAM, so it does seem your laptop refuses to use 2 compatible modules in dual-channel mode. This is not a BIOS issue, this is hardware -as Huffer EXPERT Level 18 correctly diagnosed from the very start. The only way to make sure is to try another 8GB module together with the original, in which case you will see 8GBs, but either way I wouldn't expect any BIOS update to fix this....

I've now successfully installed 32GB of RAM. Don't ask me why it suddenly works, I just tried something and it works...
The system is stable, no weird "Microsoft screens," everything runs like a dream.
Used on the Main RAM bank:
TIMTEC PREMIUM MEMORY 16GB FFR4 2666MHz 1.2V 2Rx8 CL 19-19-19-43
On the second RAM bank:
KINGSTON 16GBPC4-3200 CL22 260 1Rx8
It works and attached is 1x Sysinfo and 1x AMD info
(YES, it's 8GB VRAM graphics, not the standard 512MB as locked by HP -- BIOS IS THE ORIGINAL BIOS F32)

Well done! This is interesting....
It's possible that by using modules this different -different speed and different rank- you're forcing the memory controller to use 2x16GB modules as single-channel 16GB+16GB. Have you checked? HWiNFO is one of the programs that reports this....

if you want, i have uploaded the HWINFO with the tool you say...

Although not exactly clear it seems the memory is running in dual channel mode but at -2667 speed not 3200. So I gather there are issues if you install the pair of Timetec dual rank modules?

Hi!
MarkusKSBG, thanks for the update. Actually just opening the program will take you to its summary page where it tells you straight away if this is true dual-channel. For example, this is an old Haswell Business laptop maxed out with Kingston gaming ram and running dual-channel:
From the report you posted, 2 channels used should mean dual-channel. Check the summary page to be sure. If this is dual-channel, I can't for the life of me understand why this config would work and the others don't.
@Huffer In previous posts, MarkusKSBG explained that Corsair or Timetec 2x16GB of any rank would be seen as 16GB by the system.
