Hello,  I wanted to upgrade RAM of my HP 15-Ay503tu Notebook. It already have 4GB RAM. Would you please tell me if I upgrade it with 8GB RAM in empty slot, whether it will create some problem. The total RAM will be (4+8)=12GB. What will be the size of RAM which is suitable for my laptop as I have seen there are 2 dimensions of RAM are available in crucial for same 4GB. Someone please help me in this regard.

Hi:

 

Your notebook supports up to 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-2133 memory.

 

Adding an 8 GB memory chip in the empty slot will be fine.

 

This would be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook...

 

Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM | CT8G4SFS824A | Crucial IN

 

The DDR4-2400 memory will automatically bridge to 2133 MHz which is as fast as your notebook's processor can run the memory at.
