I have an HP Elitebook 840 G¨ notebook, which came with 8G of RAM, I would like to increase this amount, is it possible? And what is the specification for the memory to buy. My notebook is 
HP ELITEBOOK 840 G6,8QH17LP#AC4 serie BRJ9496LT4.

Maintenance and Service Guide HP EliteBook 830 G6 Notebook PC

 

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade information.

 

Your notebook has two memory slots and can support up to 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-2400 CL17 memory.

 

Something like this:
