HP Laptop - 15s-eq0063au
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop has 4GB DDR4  Hynix 2667 MHz RAM that came installed from HP. However, my laptop can support only 2400MHz of frequency.

Now I wish to install an extra 4GB RAM in my laptop, to improve performance, as my laptop has an extra slot. I know that it is recommended to install RAM from the same manufacturer, same frequency, and CAS latency. However, I am unable to find HYNIX brand RAM in my country.

I request your help in letting me know if I can install Samsung's 4GB DDR4 2667MHz RAM instead? (I have provided Samsung's RAM description in reference)

Thanks in advance for your help and guidance.

Reference:

Installed RAM brand and frequency: 4GB DDR4, 2666MHz,  part no.-HMA851S6JJR6N-VK, 1.20 V

@MW1987 I must let you know that HP does not recommend upgrades or hardware changes as the device is equipped with parts that perform at its optimal performance by design, that said, the upgradeable parts listed by HP articles are purely for your ease, as the decision to upgrade will be at your own discretion.

That said, here's what is supported, though I can't be specific about Samsung:
