HP 15-f2000 Laptop PC (30K17AV)

Hi, all.

I am looking to upgrade the RAM on my current HP laptop; however, I am having quite a difficult time discovering if it is upgradeable and if it is, how much additional RAM it will hold. It currently has 8GB RAM, which does not allow me to do much of anything in the way of running a decent hypervisor or some of the other things I'm interested in doing. I know where I can get the additional RAM and have it added, but I want to make sure the device itself is upgradeable and to what extent.

My current device specs are as follows:

Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1125G4 @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.65 GB usable)

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch Touch support with 10 touch points

Product: 3Y4N1UA

Parent Assembly Part: 3Y4N1UA
Assembly Part: L46598-005
SKO-MEM 8GB 3200MHz 1.2v DDR4 SHARED
MEMORY 8GB 3200MHz 1.2v DDR4 SHARED Memory Board

If anyone can assist me in discovering this information or pointing me in the direction where I can confirm what I believe to be the case (that it can hold an additional 8GB RAM), I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for your time and assistance.

Hi:

HP only has the maintenance and service guide for the older model series on your notebook's support page.

HP 15-f2000 Laptop PC (30K17AV) Manuals | HP® Customer Support

According to chapter 1 of the manual your notebook does have two memory slots since it has an Intel core processor and can support at least 2 x 8 GB of memory.

This should be a compatible 8 GB memory chip to install in the empty memory slot.
