I’m thinking of upgrading the RAM in my laptop, but I don’t know which RAM is compatible with it.

I want to upgrade my laptop to a total of 16 GB. Right now I have 2 RAM sticks of 4 GB each, and I can’t find the exact RAM stick for my laptop. I searched using the model that appears in my system, which is “HP Laptop 15s‑fq5xxx,” although underneath the laptop it says “HP Laptop 15s‑fq5013ns.” My form factor is SODIMM DDR4, speed 3200 MT/s, voltage 1.2 V, and my total maximum RAM is 32 GB.

ChatGPT tells me that with that information the “Kingston FURY Impact SO‑DIMM DDR4 3200 Mhz 16 GB (2×8 GB) CL20” memory is compatible — the product name appears on PC Componentes.

I tried on the Crucial website but I can’t find exactly that model.

You have the 5000 series laptop. Your Crucial ram is here.  You could always email tech support to ask about your exact model.

@Lucian09

CL20 memory is too fast of a timing to use in your notebook since the BIOS is locked down and you cannot adjust the memory XMP.

You need to buy DDR4-3200 CL22 memory.
