Hello

 

I am planning to purchase the HP Laptop 15s-eq2021sl with AMD ryzen 5 5500U and 8gb of RAM.

 

Before buying, I would like to ask:

 

Does this specific model have two physical RAM slots SODIMM?

Is the RAM expandable/removable, or is it soldered to the motherboard?

What is the maximum RAM capacity supported? (e.g., 16GB or 32GB). 

 

I need to be sure that I can upgrade it to 16GB in the future. Thank you in advance for your help.

This video for 15s-eq2xxx model shows two memory slots.

HP 15s-eq2000 Laptop - bad keyboard because of liquid damage

 

You should be able to install another 8 GB DDR4-3200 MT/s CL22 module in a second slot. 

 

For the max RAM capacity of your model, click the link below and run the wmic command.

2 Steps to Check Maximum RAM Capacity of Your Computer

 

If it reports 32 GB, your model likely supports 2x16 GB.

 

Click the link below and scroll down to 'Product specifications' for the memory specs.
