I recently stumbled upon some conflicting information regarding the RAM specifications for my HP Pavilion 15-eh2018AU laptop, and I’d love to get your insights.
According to the official HP support page, my laptop’s maximum memory capacity is listed as 16 GB . However, in a helpful response from our community member banhien, it’s mentioned that the laptop actually supports up to 64 GB of RAM . Quite the difference, right?
So, here are the details for my laptop:
- Model: HP Pavilion 15-eh2018AU
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5625U
- Current RAM: 8 GB DDR4 3200MHz SODIMM (2 x 4 GB)
- Operating System: Windows 11 Home/Ubuntu 22.04
- Preferred RAM Type: DDR4 3200MHz
Now, I’m a bit puzzled. Should I trust the official documentation’s 16 GB limit, or can I indeed go all the way up to 64 GB? If any of you have firsthand experience with RAM upgrades on this specific model, I’d greatly appreciate your insights.
Thanks a bunch for your help, and let’s unravel this RAM mystery together! 🕵️♂️
