Product: Compaq Presario CQ-62 Notebook PC Model CQ-62-219WM
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Looking for RAM upgrade for this old laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium.  Looked on Crucial.com, but they didn't have anything compatible.

The parts list for your notebook indicates that it uses DDR2 memory and came with 2 x 1 GB of memory.

 

HP PartSurfer

 

The system board has an Intel GL40 chipset, which means the maximum memory it will support is 2 x 2 GB of DDR2-6400 memory, so I believe that the Crucial memory report of the notebook supporting 2 x 4 GB of memory is incorrect.

 

Intel® 82GL40 Graphics and Memory Controller Hub

 

Two of these should work:
