Right now as of posting this the Website that contains the service manual is not working right now and once it becomes available i will look through and see if the RAM is upgradable.

It looks like the ram can be upgraded but not w/o taking apart the computer almost completely.

Hi,

That is true for new design that why HP puts a message saying One SODIMM slot, non-accessible/non-upgradeable (by users).

I want to know if i can add more ram. So, besides the message "One SODIMM slot, non-accessible/non-upgradeable (by users)"...

this particular model (m6 ar004dx) does have 1 or 2 slots for ram?
can i add (disassembling the laptop) another 8 gb to upgrade to 16 gb of ram?

Thanks in advance for the honest answer.

HP Recommended

No, you can not add another RAM, because this notebook has only ONE ram slot.

Further more, Not sure about the MAX RAM capacity, 8GB only or 16GB upgradable.
