HP Pavilion - 15q-bu005tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have a HP Pavilion -15q-bu005tu. It only has 4GB RAM that came with the laptop. From the past few weeks I have been noticing lot of lag and freezing, especially when I am browsing the internet.

I would like to upgrade the RAM to 8GB or 12GB. I would like to know how I can go about doing it?

I live in India. How can I find a compatible RAM upgrade for my laptop

Can I procure a RAM chip from online sources as Amazon and then install it myself

Are there any steps provided to open the panel below to install the new RAM.

Please help.

THanks

@rs8322

Its specs

    https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05638248

Manual

     http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05493257.pdf

Because it only has  Intel® Pentium® N3710 (1.6 GHz base frequency, up to 2.56 GHz burst frequency, 2 MB cache, 4 cores) processor therefore it ONLY has 1 slot of RAM therefore it supports 8GB max (page 3).

You can replace 4GB with 8GB using SAME specs

Regards.
