Can someone help? I am going to upgrade the RAM on this laptop from 4GB to 8GB and I can't find a disassembly manual anywhere on the web that is specific to this product. Any suggestions?

Also, can anyone confirm that this machine only has one RAM slot?

Thanks in advance.

You're very welcome.

That statement means that HP wants any work done on the PC performed by an authorized service center.

If you feel you can do the work yourself without breaking anything during the course of the upgrade, feel free to do so.

I have already given you the link to the video guides above, which have every step necessary...how to remove the back cover, how to remove the battery, how to remove and replace the memory.

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook...

https://content.abt.com/documents/90195/15DA0046NR_manual.pdf

There are also video clips for various disassembly procedures...

Since your model has a Celeron processor, it only has one memory slot.

Thanks, do you know what "Memory is non-customer accessible/non-upgradeable" means in practice? Is that just to stop non-techy people going into the machine. If so, do you know if there is a video of the disassembly somewhere on the web?
