Hello , im a new user ! I have a Pavilion 14-bf103tx and i want to upgrade its ram . Can i put a HyperX 8gb 2400Mhz on the other slot ? To make it 12gb total . Is the hyperX compatible with my notebook ?

Service Manual:
DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM is the right memory but two issues with your plan. 1. You are better off with 2 modules of matched size to allow dual channel memory operation. Seems odd, but 4 + 4 can actually perform better than 4 + 8. 2. HyperX would probably work but only because it will conform itself to work at the same speed and latency as the existing 4 gig module. You will get no performance benefit from "gaming" or "performance" memory on an HP laptop. Just use regular OEM type memory like Hynix or Samsung or Crucial.
