Hi, @KaiThompson
If you want to upgrade the memory, I recommend that you perform some exploratory surgery first.
HP has a service manual for a totally different model series on your notebook's support page, that uses DDR3L memory.
HP Stream - 14-cb171wm Manuals | HP® Customer Support
Yours uses DDR4 memory.
I tend to disagree that the memory can't be upgraded because the specs indicate it comes with a single 4 GB memory chip and it does not mention that the memory is 'onboard' like HP normally does when the memory is soldered to the motherboard.
HP Stream - 14-cb171wm Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support
Furthermore, the parts list indicates your notebook comes with a removable 4 GB memory chip.
L10598-855 | SODIMM 4GB 2666MHz 1.2v DDRM |
The Intel processor specs for your notebook's processor indicate that 8 GB of memory is supported.
Intel Celeron Processor N4020 4M Cache up to 2.80 GHz Product Specifications
This should be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook. It will run at 2400 MHz.
