Hi, I own a HP 14-dk1010ca (1Y532UA#ABL) with two memory slots. I want to upgrade to the maximum capacity. In the maintenance and service guide it is said "Supports up to 16 GB of system RAM in the following configurations" with the 2 x 8GB the highest possible. By the Windows command prompt, the maximum RAM capacity indicate is 32 GB. Is there an error in the guide? If the true maximum capacity is 32 GB, what are the options regarding memory modules (stick). Thank's for your answers.

Hi:
The Crucial memory report for the notebook indicates it only has one memory slot and the max memory the slot can support is 1 x 16 GB

I looked up the part number for the motherboard your notebook has and then looked at an eBay listing of the motherboard and it seems to only have one memory slot.

The report you ran may be picking up the circuitry for the second memory slot which may not be there.
Below is the link to the service manual:
The service manual indicates that there are two memory slots in the models with the Athlon processors.

I recommend you open up the notebook and explore the matter further before buying 2 x 16 GB of memory.
