Hi, I bought this pc:
- HP 250 G6 - 1XN28EA # ABZ
- Windows 10 Home 64 bit
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-6006U CPU @ 2.00GHz
- 4GB Micron 2133MHz
I want to update both the RAM memory and the hard disk (SSD).
What kind of memory should I buy? 4 or 8 gb?
For the SSD HD, do I have to choose with specific details?

Here is the Service Manual:
Start on p. 39 for how to. It has two memory slots and uses DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM memory that runs at 2133 mhz so you should get another 4 gig stick of DDR4-2400 to have 8 gigs total running in dual channel configuration which would be a significant cost-effective upgrade.
4-GB 862397-855
In this picture the memory slots and the space where you can install an M.2 SSD are circled.
memory and M.2 slots
There are actually 2 different ways to have a solid state drive. You can replace the hard drive with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD or you can install a SATA-3 2280 form factor M.2 SSD in the area circled above.
Great price on the 500 gig SSD above. You want to open the computer and check before ordering the SSD. Not impossible that your model does not actually have the separate dedicated M.2 slot shown above and that would change what you need to order.
Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.
