HP Victus 16-R1025NT 9J227EA

Hello,

I own an HP Victus 16-R1025NT (Product Code: 9J227EA) laptop with an i7-14700HX processor, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, and RTX 4070 GPU.

I would like to upgrade both the RAM and SSD on this device, and I have a few questions:

What is the maximum supported RAM capacity? For example, can I install 2 x 16 GB DDR4-3200 MHz modules (for a total of 32 GB)?

How many M.2 SSD slots are available in this model? Are they NVMe or SATA compatible?

Is there a maximum SSD storage capacity supported (e.g. is a 2 TB NVMe SSD supported)?

Will performing these upgrades void my warranty if done properly?

I would greatly appreciate your assistance regarding this.

Kind regards,
Mamissd

Hi:

The Victus 16-R1xxx notebooks with the Intel 'HX' processors have two M.2 slots that support PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe SSDs.

The model can support up to 2 x 4 TB drives.

Memory:  2 x 32 GB is supported.

I recommend you contact HP customer service and seek an official answer from HP.

Chapter 5 of the service manual indicates that installing SSD's or memory is a customer-authorized procedure, so off the record, I would assume that you will not void the warranty unless you break something in the process of doing the upgrades.

Hello again, and thank you for your previous response.

I have a few more follow-up questions regarding my HP Victus 16-R1025NT (Product Code: 9J227EA) laptop:

What is the wattage of the power adapter (charger) that comes with this model?

What is the maximum TGP (Total Graphics Power) or wattage limit for the RTX 4070 GPU in this laptop?

Does this model use Dynamic Boost technology to adjust GPU power during performance spikes?

I would appreciate your support in providing this technical information as well.

Kind regards,
Mamissd

You're very welcome.

The parts list indicates that the PC comes with a 230W power supply.
