I have an HP Victus 15 fa-0119tx laptop and I want to increase both the SSD capacity and RAM. What type of SSD and RAM are suitable for installation? Does this laptop support 3x4 or 4x4 generation SSDs, and what kind of RAM would be compatible?

Below is the link to the service manual which has the memory upgrade information and supported drive types in chapter 1.

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

I recommend you look for Crucial memory since they claim to have compatible memory for your notebook:

HP - Compaq HP Victus 15-fa0000 | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial IN

HP Recommended

The document says

"Memory
Two memory slots supporting up to 16 GB of RAM
DDR4-3200
Supports the following configurations:
● 16 GB (8 GB × 2)
●12 GB (8 GB + 4 GB)
● 8 GB (8 GB × 1 or 4 GB × 2)"

Even though there is no option mentioned, is it possible to upgrade RAM up to 24GB or 32GB?

The link to the Crucial memory report I posted in my first reply indicates that your notebook should support 2 x 32 GB of memory, so anything less than that should also be supported.

You can also run this command to see how much memory Windows indicates your notebook can support:

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
