Pavilion dv7 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Pavilion dv7 Notebook which is old by computer standards has 2 x 4 GB Ram modules. Can I upgrade it to 16 GB? I don't have the manual. The CPU is:

Hp Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC
<span;>Intel (R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz 2.20 GHz.

My current RAM is 8Gb (2x4) PC3 12800 1600 MHz.

Any help in determining upgrade possibilities, and if ok, what specs does my RAM need for compatibility is very appreciated.

Hi:

You are already at the max of 2 x 4 GB.

You would need to have a dv7 with an Intel 2nd gen core processor to install 2 x 8 GB of memory.
