Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP DV7 6185-us and recently one of my memory modules cease to function. Through hp forums I figured out how to test them separately. Here are the specs for the broken module.

Manufacturer: Elpida

Part Number: EBJ41UF8BCS0-DJ-F
Memory Size: 4096 MB
Memory Speed: 1333Mhz
Memory Type: DDR3
Type Detail: synchronous

can someone advise me on where to go to get some new RAM?

Hello @tonyriffs,

The 1600MHz memory will run at 267MHz faster than the 1333MHz memory, however, that's not always the case.

The speed difference will not be very noticable when running windows, however, in games, the higher speed memory will increase your framerates, but  VERY little.

Overall not much impact , technically.

Moreover the original part is 621569-001. HP has stopped manufacturing, Hence recommended 1600 MHz Ram.
4 GB (DDR3, 10600, 1333-MHz)

Well thanks for doing the dirty work. I had found a few of the exact elpida models on eBay, they were a bit pricey though. I'll probably try this module on amazon and see how it goes. My only question what are the impacts if any of having a 1300mhz vs the 1600 MHz module? Thanks again I been you tubing this stuff all day.

regards,

Anthony
