Your service manual (on page 2) states your model only supports DDR4 memory.

HP ProBook 450 G4 Notebook PCHP ProBook 455 G4 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide

 

DDR3 memory modules physically don't fit in the DDR4 slot. Also, DDR3 memory runs at a higher voltage than DDR4.
