Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
Flower_Bud is at your service.
As I understand, you wish to upgrade RAM,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824
(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
Once I have the information, I'll help you further 🙂
Keep me posted!

Thanks for responding,
Its great to have you back,
You could upgrade up to 16-GB. Please refer to Maintenance and Service Guide: Click here (Page number 1).
Note: HP does not recommend upgrading or downgrading hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product as It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance, however, you could change the configuration at your own discretion.
Hope this helps,
Cheers!

@USER1994 Greetings from the HP Community!
Did you happen to check the maintenance and service guide?
If not, here's what I need you to check: click here & visit page. 1 of Chapter 1 Product description (as shown in the below image)
(As an upgrade/custom enthusiast I personally love the idea of upgrading the device as well, However, HP recommends that you go easy on it as the device is equipped with parts that perform at its optimal performance and also, the upgradeable parts listed in HP articles are purely for your ease, though the decision to upgrade will be at your own discretion)
Keep us posted,
