RAM memory Upgrade on Pavilion 17-ab304ur

I have the HP Pavilion 17-ab304ur, with 8 Gb RAM (Samsung, 2133 MHz). Who can tell me does this model have a second slot for RAM and what RAM memory maximum support the motherboard of this laptop?

Your notebook supports 2 x 8 GB of memory according to chapter 1 of the service manual at the link below...see page 3.

The not customer accessible statement means that only a HP authorized service center is supposed to do any internal upgrades.

If you believe you can do the job yourself without breaking anything in the process, feel free to do so.

But on the Samsung site that model of RAM memory unit has 2400 MHz in tech spec. 

In the service manual what you sent me, i have 2400 MHz RAM slots too for my Intel 7gen processor motherboard

Where is the mistake?

Hi:

Since I don't work for or represent HP, I can't say why they put that info in the service manual.

Even if you bought 2400 MHz memory, it is only going to run at 2133 MHz, which is the maximum speed any Intel 7th gen core processor can run the memory at.

Installing 2400 Mhz memory will not cause any issues, but it won't run at 2400 Mhz--only at 2133 MHz.
