250 G7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently received my new 250 G7 and wanted to upgrade the RAM from the standard 4GB DDR4. When I opened up the machine I noticed there is a space for another module to be installed but for some reason the seating is not attached to the motherboard. Is this part easy to source and fit? I would imagine it requires some soldering to the board?

Thanks in advance.

Hi:

If your notebook has an Intel Pentium or Celeron processor, there is only one memory slot because the max memory either of those processors support is 1 x 8 GB.

Even if you were a master electronics technician, and by some miracle could add a second memory slot, the effort would have been in vain, since those processors can't work with more than 8 GB of memory.

Notebooks with the Intel core processors have two memory slots.
