Hi, I have a notebook 15-bs 146tu with 4GB SK Hynix 2400MHz Ram in memory slot 1.
Can I add 8GB DDR4 2400MHz Ram in it along with the 4GB ram or both the Rams should be of same memories?
And If yes, then in which slot should I add the 8GB?

Hi:
Yes you can do that, and it won't matter which slot you install the 8 GB chip in.
Eventually, you will want to remove the 4 GB chip and replace it with an 8 GB chip so that the memory runs in the higher performing dual data rate (DDR) mode. Not to mention you will have 16 GB of memory instead of 12.
